As I reflect on the journey God has taken me on, I realize how His plans have unfolded in unexpected ways. The vision He placed in my heart two years ago has been a guiding light in my life. It wasn’t something I expected, nor could I fully understand it at the time, but it has become a pivotal part of my story—The Flower Shop Vision.
This vision was revealed to me while sitting at the table with the Lord. At that moment, I couldn’t wrap my mind around it, especially as I was living out my calling as a Personal Trainer. But there it was, deep in my heart—a seed planted by God. And as I faced moments of discouragement, He would gently remind me of that vision, strengthening my faith. The gift He has given me in visions, and the courage to say “Yes” to them, has been both humbling and empowering.
In this vision, there is not just a dream, but a venture—an invitation to step out and take action. It’s not all God's responsibility. It’s my time to go after it, to pursue the will He has called me to. I must choose to say "Yes" and walk in obedience, knowing that He will guide me every step of the way. I’ve learned to trust and believe in the visions He places within me, knowing that in His perfect timing, they will come to pass.
From a season of healing and growth to blossoming into wholeness, I am reaping the rewards of the seeds I’ve sown in 2024. My word for this past year was New Seeds—to plant new seeds—and as I reflect on this journey, I realize that sowing these seeds involved pulling up weeds, sifting the soil, and planting with intention.
This past year, I’ve had incredible opportunities to share hope through The Demand Project with young ladies. I’ve learned so much about overcoming trauma and creating safety. I was honored to share my testimony with women, encouraging others while standing alongside warriors in battle. Through this experience, I’ve gained knowledge, strength, and wisdom, which I’ve been able to share with Kristin Weis, the CEO of The Demand Project. She is a true blessing, and I’m honored to work for and alongside her. She has become a friend and sister in Christ.
The seeds have been sown, and now, as I pick up my gardening basket and continue this journey called life, I am ready to keep sharing hope with young ladies and women. I want them to know that there is always a second chance for a new life. Though it may seem uncomfortable to do things differently, it will ultimately blossom into something beautiful. It’s about healing and transformation through God’s word and love. It’s about not giving up and being a voice for the voiceless. It’s courage covered with grace. It's favor, true love, and blessings. It’s God’s amazing grace—the gift He gives us.
With these new adventures, I’ve started working for a Flower Shop—a tangible step towards fulfilling part of God’s purpose for my life. It’s a season of actively waiting and preparing for the harvest. I’m learning and growing in new ways, and it’s been a beautiful opportunity to train and equip myself for what God has ahead.
Working with my hands, imagining with my heart, and praying blessings over each person who walks through the door has deepened my sense of purpose. The flower shop is more than just a place of business; it’s a community. It’s where creativity and compassion meet, where I’m able to serve others, and where God is showing me the beauty in small acts of love. Each bouquet I arrange, each conversation I have, feels like part of a greater calling—preparing, cultivating, and waiting for the harvest to come.
Here are five scriptures that have helped me not give up and hold on to the promise:
Joshua 1:9 – "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Isaiah 61:3 – "To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory."
Philippians 4:13 – "For I can do all things through him who gives me strength."
Ecclesiastes 3:11 – "God has made everything beautiful for its own time."
Philippians 4:7 – "And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
