Myra Johnson is a Houston-based executive consultant, producer, and arts advocate with over 17 years of experience helping organizations grow, innovate, and connect deeply with the communities they serve. As CEO of Ephesus Investments, Myra leads 6-month and annual executive-level engagements, serving as a strategic advisor, interim leader, or embedded partner to guide organizations through growth, transition, and transformation. Her firm also provides coaching for CEOs and senior leaders in operations, strategy, storytelling, creative campaigns, and community engagement.
Myra currently serves as Senior Vice President of Organizational Development at Adaapta, where she leads internal innovation and strategic growth. She is also the Co-Publisher of Macaroni KID Pearland and Macaroni KID Houston, two hyper-local digital platforms that reach thousands of families weekly with curated events, small business features, and community storytelling. Both are client engagements of Ephesus Investments.
A lifelong lover of music, movement, and community storytelling, Myra was a dancer for the University of Kentucky and went on to choreograph musicals, perform semi-professionally, and teach private and group dance classes for over five years. She is passionate about using artistic expression and inspirational media as tools for healing, advocacy, and positive social change.
She recently produced a spotlight video series featuring stories of unhoused women overcoming adversity through faith in God. The series is being used by The Mission of Yahweh to raise awareness and critical funding to support women and children in crisis. Myra has also produced original multidisciplinary performances at MATCH Theater and created a one-of-a-kind mixed-media experience for the University of Houston Law Center, enlisting participation from major cultural institutions including Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera.
She is the founder of the West U Arts & Jazz Festival, served as emcee for Midtown Art in the Park, and created Houston’s annual Mother’s Day Walk & Wellness Day—a signature event uplifting women and mothers in crisis or transition. The walk has received national coverage, with features on television stations in New York, Los Angeles, and Houston.
Her creative fundraising, public relations, and partnership efforts have helped raise millions for nonprofits and causes across Texas. Her work has been featured on ABC13, Fox26, CW39, the Associated Press, and multiple regional and national outlets. In recognition of her civic contributions, she has received awards and proclamations from the City of Houston and the City of West University for her impact on arts, education, and community advocacy.
Myra has served for over seven years on the Board of Directors for Kids Meals, Inc., where she sits on the Strategic Planning Committee and serves as a Speaker Ambassador—raising awareness, increasing volunteerism, and championing support for the organization, which feeds children across 56 zip codes in Greater Houston and Montgomery County. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Houston Contemporary Dance Company and the Greater Houston Prayer Breakfast Committee, and regularly coordinates volunteer initiatives supporting women and children in need.
She is also the founder of The WPF Project, a Christ-centered community for mothers navigating seasons of crisis and transition. Rooted in wellness, purpose, and faith, WPF empowers women to rebuild their lives with spiritual resilience and practical tools—offering connection, creative expression, service projects, and healing-centered content and events.
Myra lives in Pearland with her blended family of eight, including two beloved rescue pets—Nala the cat and Snow the dog. She enjoys hot yoga, tai chi, gardening, tea, and salsa dancing. She is especially passionate about public speaking, creative direction, and using the arts as a powerful tool for impact and inspiration.
