Awakened by Relentless Love: A Call to the Church

Updated: Dec 8, 2025

Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,

Christ died for us.”

A Holy Urgency to Awaken

This summer, as my husband and I went over to our friends’ house for a couple’s dinner and

prayer night, the presence of God met us in such a tangible way. As we joined together in

prayer, something powerful shifted in the atmosphere. I felt a holy urgency rise in my spirit—an

undeniable stirring that could only come from the Holy Spirit.

Then, I heard Him whisper clearly: “It’s time to awaken the church. Be alert. Be bold. Don’t hold

back.”

It wasn’t a soft suggestion; it was a commission. The Lord is calling His people to shake off

complacency, to break out of “just church,” and to pray for revival and revelation to experience

Him in ways we never have before.

This is a deeper well. A place of yielding, where we lean into the flow of the Holy Spirit and

move with courage and faith. God is awakening an attentive spirit in His people, a sensitivity to

His voice and a boldness to obey it. This isn’t just about moving mountains in our lives; it’s about

shifting generations through prayer, faith, and fire.

Honest Reflection: Shaking Off Complacency

To be honest, I’ve found myself in a place of complacency off and on these past few months.

Maybe you can relate. It’s easy to get caught up in the rhythm of life, to let routine dull the fire

that once burned so bright. But even in those moments, my heart still burns to know the Father more. That longing doesn’t fade; it just reminds me that there’s always more of Him to seek. And I believe that’s true for all of us.

We are in this world together, sons and daughters of God, and together we can awaken the

Church by shaking off complacency, breaking out of “just church,” and returning to the simple,

powerful pursuit of His presence.

When we do, revival won’t just be a word we talk about; it'll be a move we live in.

The Relentless, Courageous Love of God

There is a love that does not let go. A love that does not wait until you’re perfect. A love that

pursued you at your lowest and claimed you when you had nothing to offer. That love is the

relentless and courageous love of God.

Romans 5:8 makes it clear: “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were

still sinners, Christ died for us.” Notice it says "while," not "after," we got it all together. Jesus stepped into our brokenness, carried our sin, and gave His life for us before we ever thought to love Him back.

This is not weak or passive love. This is courageous, sacrificial, unstoppable love. A love that

sent the Son of God to a cross He did not deserve, because He believed you were worth it.

And church, it’s time we wake up to this truth again.

The Finished Work of Jesus and the Gift of the Spirit

The cross wasn’t a halfway victory. Jesus didn’t come just to inspire us. He came to save us

completely. He bore sin, shame, sickness, and death. And when He rose, He secured eternal

Victory.

But it didn’t end there. Hebrews 12:2 tells us Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the throne

of God. His work is finished, His authority is secure. Yet in His ascension, He gave us a gift: the

Holy Spirit.

Acts 2 shows us that this promise is fulfilled. The Spirit filled the church with power, courage, and boldness. That same Spirit is alive in us today. Which means His relentless love isn’t just

something to look back on, it's something we live in, moment by moment. Jesus didn’t just die to get us into heaven. He sent His Spirit to bring heaven into us.

The Church Must Awaken

The tragedy of our time is not that the world is dark; it’s that the church often forgets her light.

Too many believers know about God’s love but don’t live as if it’s real. We sing of His power but

walk in fear. We pray for revival, but forget revival starts when we remember Christ lives in us.

Romans 8:11 declares: “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.”

Think about it, the same Spirit that raised Jesus is the same Spirit dwelling in every believer.

So why do so many Christians live timid, afraid, or defeated? Because we’ve forgotten our

identity. We’ve forgotten that His love is not just an idea, it is the very power that awakens us.

It’s time for the church to rise with courage. Not in religion. Not in performance. But in Revelation: Christ in you, the hope of glory.

3 Steps to Experience the Relentless Love of God

Awakening starts with revelation, but revelation must become practice. Here are three courageous steps you can take to begin experiencing the relentless love of God:

1. Receive the Truth of His Word

God’s love is not based on your feelings or circumstances. His Word is eternal truth.

Hebrews 13:5 says: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Anchor yourself in His promises. Meditate on them daily. Speak them out loud until your heart

believes them more than your doubts. The Word is alive, and it reveals His love afresh every

time you open it.

2. Welcome the Holy Spirit Daily

The Holy Spirit isn’t a distant force, He’s the personal presence of God with you and in you.

Jesus said in John 14:26 that the Spirit is our Helper, Comforter, and Teacher.

Each morning, simply pray: “Holy Spirit, I welcome You today. Show me the Father’s love. Lead

me in courage.” When you invite Him, He fills your steps, strengthens your spirit, and awakens

your heart to relentless love.

3. Walk in Your Identity in Christ

You are not a sinner trying to earn love. You are a child of God, already chosen and already

loved. 1 Peter 2:9 calls you a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession.

That means rejection doesn’t define you. Fear doesn’t bind you. Shame doesn’t silence you.

Relentless love has set you free.

When you live from this identity, boldness rises. You don’t strive for acceptance, you walk in

authority. You don’t beg for love, you operate from love. That is what relentless love does.

Love That Awakens the Bride

What the world needs is not another distracted church. It needs a courageous Bride, alive with

the fire of God’s Spirit, rooted in His Word, and overflowing with His love.

This awakening will not come from louder services or trendier programs. It will come when

believers truly experience the relentless love of God and live it out boldly.

Romans 5:8 isn’t just a verse to memorize. It’s an anthem. A rally cry. A revelation that when we

were at our worst, God gave us His best. And if He loved us then, He will not forsake us now.

Conclusion: Courage to Step Into His Love

This is the hour for the church to rise. Not in fear, but in faith. Not in timidity, but in courage. Not

in passivity, but in relentless love.

So take these steps today:

● Receive His Word as truth.

● Welcome His Spirit daily.

● Walk boldly in your identity.

When you do, you won’t just know about His love, you’ll experience it. And when the church

begins to live from this love, the world will see Christ alive in us.

This is the relentless love that awakens the Bride. This is the courageous love that changes

everything.

things in life. To me, it is the little things that build the foundation for the bigger picture.

Even the smallest hands in this world have a profound impact. I am here to help nurture and build up the next generation, to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, and to offer a smile or a hug in someone’s moment of doubt. I am grateful for the many fields of work I have been blessed to experience. As I prepare for my son's arrival next year, I eagerly anticipate the next chapter the Lord has prepared for me.
