When God Hides You: Trusting the Invisible Season

Updated: Sep 1

There’s a sacred kind of silence that no one talks about.

It’s not the silence of still waters or a peaceful sabbath. It’s the silence of feeling unseen… uninvited… unknown.

You’re working. You’re obedient. You’ve said yes to the call of God on your life. You’ve launched the thing. You’ve poured out your heart. You’ve stewarded what He gave you with excellence… and yet?

The invitations aren’t coming. The stages aren’t opening. It feels like everyone else is being noticed—but not you. I know that season. I lived that season.

Back in 2021, we launched Consumed Coaching, a Kingdom movement that had been birthed from the depths of grief and divine assignment. We had already been leading Consumed by the Call Ministries, going live every day, ministering, traveling, speaking. When the Lord said it was time to launch Consumed Coaching, we obeyed immediately. He gave us the Kingdom Coach Certification program, and the fruit began quickly. We were certifying coaches, getting incredible feedback, and the breakthroughs were real.

But even with all that, there was a heaviness I couldn’t shake—because nobody was asking us to speak.

We weren’t being invited to the rooms I knew we were called to.

And after walking through the loss of my husband and becoming a widow, it felt like I was leading a movement… alone.

Even with results, even with vision, I still felt hidden. Forgotten. Passed over. The Lies of the Hidden Season And in that dark space, the lies came.

  • “Maybe I’m not as good as I thought.”

  • “Maybe the program isn’t as strong as I believed.”

  • “Maybe I’ll never be seen.”

  • “Maybe I’m dreaming too big…”

Let me pause here and speak directly to you, sister: those lies are from hell.

Imposter syndrome thrives in hidden seasons. The enemy wants you to abandon your post before the unveiling.

But I’m here to tell you—God hides those He is about to reveal.

He wasn’t punishing me. He was protecting me.

He was honing the message. Sharpening the strategy. Solidifying the team.

He was preparing the roots to hold the fruit.

The Incubator of Purpose

Looking back now, I am so thankful God didn’t open those doors too soon.

We were not ready.

We were fruitful, yes—but we weren’t yet fortified for what He was about to release. That hidden season became an incubator—where God refined our message, built our systems, and revealed to us what kind of movement He was truly birthing. We certified hundreds of coaches in that “invisible” season. We laid the foundation for what is now a global Kingdom Coaching movement.

And just this year, it’s like God said, “Now.”

Now, the doors are swinging wide open. We have major speaking engagements. A top podcast feature is about to drop. New partnerships, new expansion, new reach—and this time, we’re ready.

But the fruit was born in the quiet.

When the Fruit Requires Roots

I’ve learned something: God hides you when He’s growing you.

You don’t put seedlings in full sun. You protect them, water them, nourish them, and let the roots go deep before the leaves ever see the light. “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”

—John 15:2 (NIV)

Sister, He’s pruning you because He intends to multiply you.

That hidden season is not a punishment—it’s a divine setup.

You are not shelved. You are being fortified.

And you don’t need to force your way into rooms or chase after platforms. The God who sees in secret will reward in public.

He sees your sowing. And His promise is clear:

“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”

Galatians 6:7 (ESV)

That’s not a threat. It’s a guarantee.

You’re not behind. You’re being built.

You’re not overlooked. You’re being overprepared.

And when the time comes, you will know it was God who did it. Not hustle. Not striving. But a good, good Father who knew what your heart—and your calling—needed to sustain the weight of the fruit.

From the Sister Who’s Come Through

If I could sit with you today, cup of coffee in hand, and look you in the eyes—I’d tell you this:

Be faithful in the quiet. Stay steady in the unseen. God is not done with you. He’s not forgotten you. He’s forming you.

Don’t despise the root season.

Because when He finally unveils what He’s been growing in you—it’s going to shake the world.
